ICW is not against density but wants quality of life considered as a fundamental first – our thinking

Our inner-city has the largest population on the least amount of land in Wellington, and that presents some unique challenges. Our community is not by default against the building of new homes, but we are for any future developments to be done well, and in a way that will enhance the wellbeing of our residents in the future. This means ‘doing density well’, and ensuring the provision of green space and community facilities is part of the thinking. Read our Density Issues paper here
