ICW and friends - exploring a new way to help residents in apartment buildings

ICW Press release - 27 October 2022

Fortress Apartments & Lifeboat Buildings

ICW + WREMOWellington Neighbourhood Support are very pleased to announce that we are working together to trial a local Neighbourhood Support model tailored for residents living in inner-city Wellington apartment buildings.

"As the residents association for inner-city Wellington, we know that many of the over 17,000 people living in 'our patch' are in apartment buildings" said Rev Stephen King, Chair of ICW.

"We want to facilitate conversations about being connected, resilient and prepared for emergencies. We know that apartment living in the central city is very different from having a home in one of our leafy suburbs, so we are looking forward to working with WREMO's experience and Wellington Neighbourhood Support's community-centred model to spark some fresh thinking".
