Want to be part of a Te Aro clean up day? Here's how!

This Wednesday 22 December, the Sustainability Trust is running a Community Clean-Up day for Te Aro!

If you can spare an hour or two, just show up at 12noon at their EcoShop in Forresters Lane (off Tory Street) and they say “Remember to wear comfy shoes, bring a hat and plenty of water. We will have plenty of sunscreen and sanitiser available and will provide everyone with litter pickers and buckets.”

At Inner-City Wellington, we’ve been advocating for these for a while and now they're here, running monthly, which is a great news! So we’re really keen that you know about them, and consider helping the inner-city to be a nicer place for humans and our wildlife.

Community clean-up days are great ways to pitch in and show your care for your local community, and a great experience you can share with your neighbours, or meet new friends! The folks at Connecting Community Neighbours will put together a meetup for anyone who wants to go with them to pitch in. Just drop a message in the chat if you want to join us, or keep an eye out at https://www.meetup.com/City-Neighbours/.
