How to Live & Shop Waste-Free in Wellington City walking tour
Friday 3 December. 2-4pm

Join this zero waste walking tour through Wellington City to find out how you can live and shop waste-free in this beautiful city. Meeting point is at Tuatua Cafe, on the Southeast corner of Frank Kitts Park, Wellington Waterfront.

Your tour guides are Hannah and Liam of The Rubbish Trip. They've been living without a rubbish bin for nearly 7 years. For half that time, they travelled NZ full-time and waste-free. Along the way, they picked up many tips and tricks about zero waste living, and the joys of zero waste improvisation, wherever they happened to be in Aotearoa NZ.

In this tour, Hannah and Liam will show you how to survive without a bin, and the best tools for the job if you're keen to give it a crack. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions as we stroll around town.

The tour will save the best for last, ending at the well-loved zero waste grocer, Hopper Refill Shop, where you'll also find a pop-up stall from Tip Shop Wellington selling cheap but high-quality secondhand goods rescued from landfill, just in time for Christmas shopping!

Everyone is welcome - young and old, individuals and business owners, those new to zero waste, old hands, or those taking that next step towards zero waste!

Please note that this is a walking tour that will depart, rain or shine, so be sure to dress accordingly.

This event is part of the Aotearoa Plastic Pollution Alliance 2021 End-of-Year Hui: http://nzappa.org/appa-end-of-year-hui-2021/
